The Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission -- aboard an Atlas V rocket -- launches November 18 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. After its 10-month journey to Mars, the spacecraft will attempt to understand the nature of climate change on the red planet.
